Day 01 : Arrival to
Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport.
Greet and meet by local tour guide at
the airport. Transfer to hotel for check
in. After that, visit Sule Pagoda,
Independent monument at Mahabandoola
Park, Nanthida Jetty at Yangon River, Chaukhtagyi
reclining Buddha, downtown Yangon with
its faded colonial atmosphere, India
town and bustling China town. In the
evening visit Shwedagon Pagoda, with its
golden stupa covered with 60 tons of
pure gold leaf. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02:
Yangon -
Pyay
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to
Pyay 5 ½ hours drive from Yangon.
Several photo stops en route visiting
Shwenattaung Pagoda -Pagoda of Golden
Spirit Moutain and Shwemyettaman Pagoda-
Pagoda of Golden Spetacles. Proceed to
Pyay. Sightseeing Sri-Khistra,
archaeological sites to study ancient
city of Pyu civilization exited between
1st and 10th Century AD in Pyay, local
night market to look around the region
and Shwesandaw Pagoda- is on a hill,
where you can get the beautiful view of
the Irrawaddy river. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03:
Pyay -
Bagan
After breakfast, drive to Taungdwingyi
to learn Beikthano archeological sites
of the excavated city.
Proceed to Bagan. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04:
Bagan Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Kyanzittha Umin,
Shwezigon Pagoda-built by King Anawrahta;
Htilominlo Phato, Upali Thein, Ananda
Temple - King Kyanzittha’s masterpiece,
Lacquerware workshop, Nagayon Pagoda,
Manuha Pagoda, Nanpaya, Myazedi,
Gubyaukgyi Temple , Dhammanyangyi Temple
and Shwesandaw Pagoda, which is the best
one having in beautiful sunset.
Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05:
Bagan -
Mt.Popa
-
Mandalay
After breakfast, visit Mystical Mt.Popa
, one hour drive from Bagan on the road
to Mandalay, rises 1,520 meters into the
sky. Climbing to the summit takes about
45 minutes and you can visit the
Mahagiri Shrine dedicated to the Nats
(spirits) at the top. There is a
wonderful panoramic view. This is an
easy day’s journey from Bagan stopping
along the way at local villages and a
sugar cane plantation. Proceed to
Mandalay. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06:
Mandalay -
Monywa
After breakfast, drive to Monywa, 140 km
west of Mandalay. Visit Thanboddhay
Pagoda with 582,363 Buddha images, Bodi
Tahtaung Pagoda (1000 Bo trees), Kyaukka
Shweguni Pagoda and Kyaukka (laquer
ware) village are the major attractions
of Monywa. Also interesting places are
Phowintaung Caves, located across the
Chindwin River with their sand stone
caves containing Buddha images and
interesting frescoes on some of the cave
walls. Back to Mandalay. Overnight at
Hotel.
DAY 07:
Mandalay Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Amarapura - an
ancient capital built on the advice of
astrologers, Mahagandaryone Monastery -
where one may observe the daily life of
the monks studying Buddha's scriptures;
and U Bein Bridge - 1.2 km long over
200 years old wooden bridge, Tapestry
works; Wood carving & bronze castling
workshops; Marble carving workshop ,
silk weaving home cottage, Mahamuni
Image - a bronze Buddha image castled
during the lifetime of Buddha himself,
Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda with
its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist
scriptures (known as the world’s biggest
book), Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for
its exquisite woodcarving and the
impressive Kyauktawgyi Pagoda with its
huge sitting Buddha. Enjoy the sunset
from Mandalay Hill for panoramic view of
Mandalay city. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08:
Mandalay
-
Yangon
After breakfast, fly back to Yangon.
Visit Buddha Tooth Relic, Kaba Aye
(World Peace) Pagoda, Maha Pasana Cave
and Bogyoke (Scott Market). Overnight at
Hotel.
DAY 09: Departure from
Yangon
After breakfast, free and leisure at
hotel. Transfer to airport for
departure.
